Legal Assistant Paralegal

ITS is seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal with at least eight years of experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation.
Medical Malpractice experience would also be extremely helpful.
Assisting Partners, Managing Attorneys, and Associate Attorneys in the litigation process from inception to completion of trial and/or settlement.
Thoroughly familiar with both New York State and Federal Court procedures.
Experience with administration papers and infant compromise orders would be beneficial. Hybrid Work Schedule (3 days at home 2 onsite) Duties include:
Set up & organize filesDraft & prepare of Summons & ComplaintsDraft & prepare Bills of ParticularDraft & prepare all Discovery Demands & ResponsesRequest & follow through obtaining all Hospital & Doctors recordsDraft & prepare MotionsInteract with clientsWork closely & assist attorneys on day-to-day case management of filesStenography A+ or fast long-hand dictationFamiliar with Motion Practice & Calendar PracticeCorrespondence We refer to the position as Legal Assistant as it combines the knowledge and experience associated with paralegal work with experienced secretarial skills.
We need someone with both abilities.
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (your choice)
