Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and adaptable Legal Counsel to join our team.
As the second attorney on our team, you will work closely with our Chief Legal Officer and Chief Executive Officer to provide broad legal support across the organization.

About you: You have 4-6 years experience as an attorney at a tech-focused law firm or in-house at a private company.
Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for an early-stage company required.
Experience with employment, equity, data privacy, and/or higher education strongly preferred.
You are thoughtful, proactive, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator - able to take complicated legal concepts and distill them into actionable outcomes.
You have a high intellectual ceiling, low ego, and impeccable judgment.

What you'll do: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and help establish and manage an efficient contracting function.
Lead key legal projects across a variety of areas and business functions from initiation to completion.
Assist in the creation, review, and operationalizing of various policies and work streams.
Translate a range of federal and state mandates and regulations into actionable outcomes, working with teams across the business.
Work on board and shareholder items and learn more about our board of trustees.
