Legal Secretary (Commercial Litigation) Midtown Manhattan
Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home)
Hours & Lunch: 9 AM to 5:30 PM
Pay: $75-100K DOE and Education
Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to attorneys specializing in commercial litigation.Efficiently manage and organize legal documents, including filing (federal & state) and E-Docket filing.Draft and format legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.Prepare and file court documents, ensuring they meet legal requirements and deadlines.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel via phone, email, and in person.Prepare and collect content documents for briefs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and documents.Manage client and attorney billing processes.Effectively manage attorney calendars, ensuring timely scheduling and reminders.Maintain clear and concise communication with attorneys, clients, and internal staff. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required.4 years minimum in commercial litigation; trial experience is a plus.Proficient in MS Office and experience with Aderant and iManage is preferred.Proven experience as a legal secretary, preferably with a focus on commercial litigation.Familiarity with legal procedures and documentation in commercial litigation settings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
