Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Straight typing and editing of legal documents ensuring precision and adherence to firm standards. Effective usage of firm-specific macros to streamline document processing. Management and manipulation of documents within NetDocs. Utilizing Kofax for PDF functions to handle legal documents. Preparation of pleadings and other court documents. Conversion of documents from PDF to Word to ensure usability, preserving document integrity. Extensive document formatting using Heading Styles for a professional finish. Insertion of Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities using Litera-Best Authority software. Handling transcription services using Winscribe. Creation and editing of spreadsheets for case and client management. Designing and updating PowerPoint presentations to assist in client and courtroom scenarios. Minimum Position Qualifications: Proven experience in a legal word processing role within a litigation environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Hands-on experience with NetDocs and Kofax. Ability to work with legal document management and transcription software. Excellent typing skills and attention to detail for producing error-free documents. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Litera-Best Authority for legal document drafting. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint. Experience in a hybrid working environment, balancing in-office and remote tasks effectively. Previous employment in a mid to large size law firm. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures. Ability to work flexible hours to meet tight deadlines. Skills: Meticulous document editing and formatting skills. Advanced proficiency in document conversion and management tools. Robust problem-solving skills with a knack for technological troubleshooting. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team. Strong commitment to ethical document handling and confidentiality.
