Licensed Electrician

HVAC electricians and technicians are trained to understand the workings of the systems that control the air climate within a structure.
Knowledge of electrical theory and safety is necessary.
The HVAC electrician must be able to read blueprints and technical diagrams that show the location of the electrical components.
They must also be knowledgeable of state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
Responsible for installing and maintaining the electrical components in an HVAC system, including all electrical wiring and controls.
These are mostly heating and air conditioning systems, but also include ventilation, refrigeration or other climate-control systems.
Responsible for HVAC systems in smaller buildings such as residential homes, stores or apartment buildings as well as at larger facilities, including office buildings, schools, hospitals and factories.
Inspect and test systems as necessary, determines any repairs and replaces worn or defective parts.
Though specializing in electrical work, must have knowledge of the full system
