About the Job: Litigation Associate Attorney - Lucrative Bonuses We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join our prestigious law firm, which has been providing exceptional legal services since 1946. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases in a variety of defense practice areas including medical and professional liability, labor law, employment, products liability, and insurance defense. Our firm is located in New York State with offices in Syracuse, Uniondale, Buffalo, and Fishkill, and requires relocation to one of these locations. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute to our continued success and reputation in the legal community by utilizing your expertise in civil litigation to manage cases efficiently and deliver superior results for our clients. This role includes a competitive compensation package comprising a base salary, exceptional performance-related bonuses, and extensive benefits.
Compensation: $100,000 - $220,000 per year, including salary and bonuses dependent on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and oversee civil litigation cases from inception through completion. Prepare for trial by drafting critical discovery pleadings, motions, and managing document production. Handle depositions by taking and defending, ensuring thorough preparation and execution. Develop and execute strategic approaches tailored to client's needs to ensure successful outcomes. Regular interaction and coordination with clients, offering legal advice and updates on case progress. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal predecessors and developments within your practice area. Minimum Position Qualifications: License to practice law in New York State. At least 1 year of direct insurance defense experience. Proven record of strong academic performance. Exceptional writing skills, with demonstrated competency in legal pleadings and briefs. Effective oral advocacy skills and experience in courtroom settings. Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: 1-5 years of comprehensive civil litigation experience. Experience managing cases in state and federal courts. Specific expertise in medical and professional liability, labor law, or insurance defense. A track record of successfully leading cases to trial. Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a proactive mindset to anticipate client needs. Excellent interpersonal skills enhancing client relationships and intra-office collaborations. Skills: Advanced litigation and courtroom management skills. Robust research and analysis capabilities.
