Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Litigation Trial Paralegal to join their team in Los Angeles. This role requires a highly organized professional with expertise in managing complex business litigation cases, supporting attorneys from pre-trial preparation through trial and post-trial activities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, specifically in trial procedures and comprehensive case management. This position offers a hybrid schedule, with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and an annual billing requirement of 1,550 hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide full litigation support, from case inception through resolution.Conduct thorough legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and legal materials.Organize and manage case files, pleadings, and discovery documents.Draft and edit legal documents, including motions, briefs, and summaries.Coordinate trial preparation, including witness interviews, exhibit preparation, and trial binders.Serve as the primary point of contact during trials, managing exhibits, technology, and logistics.Attend trials and hearings to provide on-site support for attorneys.Handle post-trial activities such as drafting settlement agreements and organizing final case files.Liaise with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.Ensure adherence to all legal procedures and court rules.QualificationsBachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.At least 6 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong background in business litigation and trial support.Proficiency in legal research and e-discovery software (e.g., Lexis, Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector).Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel and work extended hours during trial periods.Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $95,000 - $110,000, based on experience and qualifications.Competitive benefits package.Opportunities for career development and advancement.Collaborative, dynamic work environment.
