Overview:
Under minimal supervision, the Electrician will construct, install, maintain and repair all electrical systems and equipment at Angel Stadium.
This is a bargaining unit position, hourly pay for Journeyman level for this position is $40.08 per hour.
Union dues are $11 per pay period (2 times a month) and an additional 1.25%.
This position is also benefit eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 9 paid holidays, sick days, vacation accrual (2 weeks vacation), tickets to games, 401K eligibility after 1 year of employment (employer matching and safe harbor) and additional perks not listed above.
Duties: Installs and troubleshoots electrical circuits, breakers, relays, contacts, switches, panels, conduit, bending of conduit, wiring, fixtures, clocks, commercial meter services, kitchen equipment, TV equipment, sound systems, emergency generator equipment and electronic controls Sets up of audio/visual equipment for events Programs Energy Management Systems Repairs electrical parts of air conditioning controls Performs preventive electrical maintenance on all types of electrical equipment, including pumps, compressors, and lighting equipment Inspections of transformers, circuit breakers, automatic motor control circuits, disconnects, machine shop equipment, exhaust and intake fans Works with low volts and up to 480 voltage.
May work with power circuits up to 4160 volts with proper training and equipment Troubleshoots and repairs RF, analog, digital, CCTV and MATV systems Troubleshoots and repairs field and other lighting systems Assists in the installation and maintenance of telephone systems Utilizes various testing and diagnostic equipment Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations Responsible for station lockout/tag out procedures as mandated by Angels Baseball Responsible for Arc-flash procedures as mandated by Angels Baseball Performs other job related duties as requested General Qualifications:Journey level skill as an electrician Methods, equipment and materials used in electrical trade General knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations Applicable laws, National Electrical Code, Title 24, regulations Base first Aid procedures Principles of electronic theory as applied to electrical and electronic circuits, wiring and electrical equipment used in power generation Proficient written and verbal communication skills Work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches Work independently with little direction Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationship with others Skills in maintenance and repair of electrical circuits up to 480 volts Must be capable of using a computer for office related tasks Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required Degrees/Certificates/License/Experience:High School diploma or equivalent Completion of a recognized vocational education program in electrical or industrial electrical or industrial training or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program Possession of valid Driver's license with satisfactory driving record Physical Demands:Ability to use both hands, arms and leg Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching Ability to lift up to 100-pounds Ability to maintain proper balance Ability to frequently stand and walk, climb stairs and ladders Ability to frequently work in confined or high spaces.
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where the use of appropriate protective/safety equipment is required Subject to working in adverse weather conditions Work includes indoors and outdoors environment
