Part Time (24 hours per week) Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers in Minnesota.
Job Duties: Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.Provide appropriate nursing services and education to clients.Observe, record, and report to the appropriate person any symptoms, reactions and changes in a client's condition.Receive and transcribe physician orders to client charts.Chart nursing notes in an informative and descriptive manner reflecting the care provided and the response to that care.Participate in report at shift change.Complete scheduled weekly updates.Maintain compliance with the Minnesota Department of Health regulations.Attend and participate in staff in-services and meetings.Nurses may not admit, transfer, or discharge clients. They may be directed to follow through with the process of implementation of the above by the director or designee.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements: Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple format.Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities.Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reports.Must have an LPN license.Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility and 2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.Must know and understand the implications of parts 9530.6405 to 9530.6505 (Rule 31), and Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A (Human Services Licensing Act-HSLA), sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA), 626.557 (Vulnerable Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).Must document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, discharge planning.Know and understand the implications of all Minnesota Department of Health regulations.CPR and first aid certified.Ongoing training on cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values.Benefits: Twenty (20) days of paid time off.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) – ROTH and traditional options.A job with a sense of purpose as you help people on their path to recovery.We owe our success to the passion, commitment, and expertise of our staff.
