As a Machine Learning Engineer at Liftoff, you will:
Own ML models are a part of a production decision-making system that has direct business impact. You will own a part of this system end-to-end, which includes state-of-art ML models and related engineering systems.
Adopt or build new technologies for training and serving ML models (e.g. support large models, increase developer velocity, etc)
Be a mentoring coach for team members and engineers from other teams.
Monitor latest ML research for practical ideas that the team could try.
Influence the roadmap for your team and potentially other teams.
Requirements:
8+ years of industry experience applying Machine Learning (including neural networks) to large scale problems.
Very strong engineering and coding skills.
Track record of strong execution and timely delivery of projects.
Sets ego aside in pursuit of finding the best solution, no matter where it comes from.
B.S. or higher in Machine Learning, Math, Physics or similar. PhD a plus.
Experience in Ad Tech or Recommender Systems is a strong plus.

This role eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MN, MO, NJ, NV, OR, RI, TX, UT, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and NYC.
Compensation:
Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:
SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $197,500 - $215,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $181,700 - $197,800
All other cities and towns in our approved states: $169,850 - $184,900
