The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Plant Manager or their designate and is responsible for inspecting and repairing machinery and to keep written logs on repair, inventory, and preventative maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacementKnowledge of low and high voltage electrical apparatus controls and switchgearPerforms oxyacetylene burning proceduresPerforms plasma-arc cuttingPerforms preventive building maintenance duties and repairs, such as: doorknobs or locks, patch holes in walls, replacing light bulbsPerforms routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountainsPaint interior and exterior wallsMechanical repairKeep daily maintenance log and maintenance records of equipmentOperate a forkliftWork in compliance with company safety and operating procedures Performs other related duties as required. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Mechanical knowledgePrevious forklift experience Ability to lift to 50lbs.
Previous experience in a production/manufacturing setting Capable of working in a team and independentlyCapable of following a production report while working independentlyTrained in Hot Work PermitsTraining in Lockout-TagoutMIG Welding experience in repairs and fabricationAbility to read OEM drawings and manualsAbility to work all shifts and weekends as needed
