Job Title: Operator III, Facility Maintenance Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician/Operator III position at our Eldridge, Iowa facility. The role involves general facilities maintenance and operations support. Daily responsibilities include maintenance and repair of machinery that keeps the plant operating. This may encompass repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, piping, heat exchangers, and other power-driven rotating equipment. The successful candidate will perform assigned inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
Hours 6:30-3:00pm Monday through Friday. Hard Skills Experience with pumps, hydraulics, piping, plumbing, PVC, and hoses Basic Electrical knowledge Ability to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds Experience operating a forklift and other heavy equipment used in maintenance and construction Proficiency in operating power tools stationary and portable Soft Skills Ability to work in a close-knit team Willingness to multitask and take on various roles as needed Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Eldridge, Iowa.
Work Environment The role is located in a clean, well-lit facility that may require working in tight spaces at times. Safety is our #1 priority. The facility is a smaller warehouse that supplies chemicals to steel manufacturers. A variety of different chemicals are stored, mixed, and packed in the warehouse. The team culture is tight-knit, with everyone willing to do what it takes to get the job done. There are approximately 20 people total in the warehouse.
