SCOPE OF THIS ROLE: The Communications team is responsible for building and enhancing Nielsen's reputation as the leader in audience measurement and streaming. The Communications Manager is responsible for drafting weekly and monthly audience measurement reports for press, while creating and maintaining coverage reporters and press lists. The job also includes crafting proactive pitches utilizing Nielsen's best-in-class audience measurement data. It involves building relationships with reporters and clients. The Communications Manager should have strong written and verbal communications skills; a passion for the media business; be a proactive go-getter; and be exceptionally organized. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Communications. \n RESPONSIBILITIES:Focus every day on telling positive, data-driven stories related to audience measurement. Draft press releases, media alerts and internal communications. Pitch consumer press, sports business press and media reporters. Pitch stories featuring Nielsen spokespeople. Build and maintain press lists. Responsible for press coverage reports and monthly roundups. Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with the commercial and consumer marketing teams to develop campaign-specific strategies for audience measurement. Work with cross-functional teams, including events, commercial, marketing, social, PR, community engagement, product, and brand, to ensure maximum engagement across all partnerships. QUALIFICATIONS:2-4 years of related experience in media, advertising, measurement space.Ability to work across a highly matrixed organization.Comfort working in a fast-changing, adaptive environment with urgency and a proactive attitude. Strong writing skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong collaboration capabilities.Strong negotiating skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to solve tough problems and handle pressure to meet deadlines. A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $50,000 - $185,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.
