Job Description Title: Manager, Engineering
Compensation Range: $118, 500 - 139,400
Location: Plano, TX or Louisville, KY
Purpose of the Job:
Lead KFC's engineering team, driving the design, testing, commercialization, and quality of all equipment, small wares, and associated programs.
Provide technical leadership that fuels growth and innovation.
What You'll Be Cooking Up: Provide strategic thought leadership, anticipating team and business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for national calendar implementation and equipment engineering. Develop new equipment and small wares technology, driving continuous improvement. Lead the Equipment Development Process (EDP), ensuring quality and consistency. Engage in supplier performance evaluation and secure the supply chain through Alternate Vendor Approval (AVA). Support restaurant layout reviews, BOH flow optimization, and distributor model revisions. Build supplier relationships, drive innovation, and maintain professional knowledge through continuous learning. Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering growth and technical excellence.
The Ingredients You'll Need: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial); MS/Eng.
preferred. 5+ years in Engineering/Packaging/Equipment, with experience in quick-serve restaurants or a strong interest in joining a global brand. Proven success in developing and commercializing new equipment, with a safety-first mindset. Strong project management skills, technical leadership, and a knack for fostering cross-functional collaboration. Ability to influence, inspire, and lead with integrity, while driving innovation and maintaining a strong moral compass.
