The Manager, People Operations will oversee the HR shared services/centralized support and onboarding related functions. They will also ensure a positive employee experience through people leadership and work management for people operations associates. They will be responsible for enabling optimal delivery of HR processes throughout our organization and will build strong cross-functional relationships across the business. This role requires an experienced and dedicated team player who has extensive knowledge of HR processes and procedures, compliance and strong leadership skills.
In this role you will:
Drive the People Operations team to achieve departmental targets and support internal customers with a clear sense of urgency and care
Partner with the Legal department to interpret and apply HR compliance policies including AAP, OFCCP and EEOC
Ensure the improvement and optimization of administrative processes, including compliance audits, systems and tooling
Develop team members through individual coaching and performance management
Collaborate with HR leads to achieve alignment for HR processes and procedures as well as proactively share knowledge and best practices
Be the subject matter expert for end to end HR processes (onboarding, job changes, termination, etc.) and HR compliance
Play a pivotal role in communication towards stakeholders and the broader HR team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in setting up or managing People Operations /HR shared services in fast paced/start up environment
3+ years of direct people management experience
HR compliance knowledge and expertise in areas of EEO/AA
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Location
This hybrid role entails working in the office three days per week in our Foster City office (HQ).
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $131,000 to $165,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
