Job Description:
This position enhances the company's ability to mitigate risks by supporting detailed investigations into fraud and offenses targeting American Express products, services, and systems. The incumbent will support all aspects of Global Security initiatives relating to department and enterprise application development, enhancements, and technical support. Department POC for learning/training system, SharePoint, and Power Apps development.
Role typically reports to: Director, Investigations Support & AENB Security Management
Partial list of Responsibilities:
Manage, support, and develop databases, applications, and reporting related to Global Security's initiatives to identify, monitor, and reduce fraud losses to Amex.
Maintain, develop, and work with technologies to ensure Amex Global Security applications are maintained for regular investigative responsibilities and are developed, and enhanced to meet the needs of the department.
Manage case management database, including system administrative support, training of staff, and ensure user guides and other instructions are kept current.
Manage and maintain supporting databases for reporting purposes including modifications to SQL, VBA, etc.
Submit system enhancements requests (Change Management Process – including enhancements, changes, errors, problems, etc.); prioritize and communicate the enhancement requests to the database ownership/technologies/support team.
Analyze reported system issues to determine root cause, work with Director and Dev/Support teams for escalation and manage solution to resolution.
Collaborate with counterparts outside of own workgroup to ensure that practices and policies are aligned and consistent.
Work with internal groups to help American Express minimize risk and exposure to fraud (e.g., assess risk, identify security weaknesses, close gaps)
Support investigations teams by gathering and analyzing data to uncover patterns, trends and evidence of inter-related events or crimes.
Responsible for the facilitation of GS e-learning training materials including content creation and updates to training modules.
Act as department learning admin for LMS, including providing reporting to leadership upon request

Qualifications:

Previous job experience is required.
Candidates should have 3+ years combined experience in one or more of the following: investigations, data management, case management system design, application development lifecycle, SQL and/or scripting programming, and people leadership.
Bachelor's or other 4-year degree may be required. Preferred fields of study include business, computer science, criminal justice, and social sciences.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
