This position will play a critical role in managing the accounting and reporting for financial instruments, from recording journal entries to providing required disclosures for SEC filings.Treasury AccountingAccounting and reporting – managing the accounting activity related to the company's Treasury activities including cash pooling, debt, investments, balance sheet hedging, net investment hedging, cash flow hedging, cross currency swaps and interest rate swapsPreparing and reviewing required disclosures to support SEC filingsMonitoring US GAAP and SEC developments and evaluating the impacts of new accounting and reporting rulesResearching and documenting accounting matters including those related to ASC 815, Derivatives and Hedging and ASC 830, Foreign Currency MattersManaging and ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions within Kyriba, our treasury management softwareFostering and maintaining a strong partnership with TreasuryMaintaining SOX controls over the areas of ownershipCollaborating with Tax, Technical Accounting, Controllers, Internal and External AuditorsProviding management with timely information and guidance for decision making and analysisAssisting with other significant projects as needed (such as acquisitions, divestitures, establishing new policies, advise on new types of transactions, foreign currency matters)Insurance AccountingAccounting and reporting – managing the accounting activity related to prepaid insurance, accrued liability and the newly formed Captive CompanyPreparing and reviewing insurance reconciliationsCollaborating with Treasury on risk management and with Legal and Insurance on legal claims and settlementsYour Skills and Expertise   To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher and 10 years of Finance and/or Accounting in a private, public, government or military environment.5 years of technical experience in derivatives and hedge accounting.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in finance, accounting or related degreeCPA and/or CMAExperience working for a public accounting firmKnowledge and experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE)Ability to quickly understand complex transactionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong managerial skillsAbility to drive results in a fast-paced environmentWork location:Remote Travel: May include up to (5%)(domestic/international)Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being Solventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
To ensure competitive pay and benefits, Solventum regularly benchmarks with other companies that are comparable inApplicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
