Primary Responsibilities/Function: The Managing Director for Programs will provide leadership in program quality, financial oversight, compliance, and strategic initiatives. As a key member of the operations team, the Managing Director Programs will work closely and with direction from the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that programs effectively meet the needs of the community and comply with contract and grant requirements. This position is a hybrid position and will travel between different program sites within San Diego and Imperial counties.
Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the organization's Privacy Officer, ensuring that all programs adhere to privacy regulations and standards, including the protection of client and organizational information. Ensure all programs meet or exceed contractual obligations, grant requirements, and performance goals. Assist Directors with developing and maintaining program policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery. Assist Directors in the day-to-day management and operations of programs, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth functionality across all departments. Ensure that programs are effectively executed in alignment with grant and contract requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and impact. Implement, conduct, and monitor quality control measures across programs to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Manage and oversee the updates and maintenance of the program-related content on the organization's website, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to the public. Responsible for the organization-wide dissemination of information regarding program events, initiatives, updates, and other key organizational communications. Ensure compliance with all contracts, grants, and funding agreements related to program delivery. Collaborate with the finance team to manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure proper financial stewardship of contract and grant funds. Approve accounts payable (A/P) expenditures for program-related costs under $10,000, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines. Oversee all reporting requirements, including the preparation and submission of progress reports to funders. Provide direct supervision, coaching and professional development to all program department directors including all phases of the personnel cycle. Oversee the IT Department to help ensure that technology supports the efficiency and effectiveness of all program operations. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the program teams. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace environment that supports staff well-being and professional growth. Ensure programs are culturally competent, evidence-based, and accessible to diverse populations. Lead and support the organization's DEI/IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism) initiatives, fostering an inclusive environment and promoting diversity across all programs. Other duties as assigned. Accountability: Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mental Health, Public Administration, or Non-Profit Management, or a related field, preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within a non-profit or public health setting, preferably focused on mental health services. Proven experience managing government contracts, grants, and compliance requirements. Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams and complex programs. Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and evaluating mental health programs. Deep understanding of mental health challenges, community needs, and evidence-based interventions. Direct or indirect lived experience with behavioral health, preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence. Must have a satisfactory driving record. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Proficient knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel) and web navigation. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Reliable and consistent attendance.
