POSITION TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: Remote

COMPENSATION: This position is a full-time salaried position with a salary range of $165,000-$200,000 and an additional COLA adjustment for those in expensive locations.

PREFERRED START DATE: March 1st, priority application deadline is January 23rd.

About Movement Labs Movement Labs is dedicated to stopping the far right and saving democracy.
We bring new thinking to the most challenging problems in the political ecosystem and rigorously test our ideas.

You'll bring our long-term vision into the day-to-day of all of Movement Labs' 80 employees.
You'll work closely with the CEO as a #2 and sounding board, supporting prioritization, and being a main implementer of plans.
You'll coordinate department work, drive new investments forward, and be a co-designer of the organization.

You'll also be responsible for leading a small finance team and increasing our financial visibility and planning, as well as a people team focused on the effectiveness and thriving of our whole team.

Responsibilities Leadership & Management (50%): Acting as chief problem-solver to the CEO and VP team Working with the CEO to vet possible growth areas and drive some forward Supporting team-wide & leadership meetings and strategic planning Reinforcing our values as a coherent organizational culture Finance (25%): With support staff, be a strategic leader guiding bookkeeping, cost and revenue projections, department budgeting, and margin management of our core business Supporting the fundraising team in increasing velocity and systematization of fundraising People Operations (25%): Increase team effectiveness by working closely as a people-focused partner to leadership team Lead recruitment, identifying new roles and helping facilitate horizontal movement Oversee a people team managing hiring, training, culture, benefits, and HR functions Oversee staff conflict, mediation, and performance improvement processes Requirements Fast-paced, exceptional intelligence, highly quantitative mindset Comfort with risk Significant political campaign or advocacy experience (2+ years) Leadership experience in a growing tech or consulting firm, ideally touching political, social, or civic work Experience managing managers (4+ years) Experience with financial and HR management Nice to haves: Experience working in strategy consulting, marketing, or SMS Experience with management training or coaching Experience with political or 501(c)(4) fundraising Bay area modestly preferred Benefits Annual salary of $165,000 - 200,000 with COLA adjustments.
