About the Job The Nashville Market Development Manager for MasayaCo's furniture division is a newly created position reporting to our Senior Vice President and Sales Director. MasayaCo is seeking dynamic, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated home furnishings professionals with strong relationship building, selling, and management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Nashville showroom/sales office, managing a small team, and growing interior design and retail sales. MasayaCo will be transitioning from current showroom to new showroom/selling office and successful candidate will help manage this important move: sell-through of current inventory, moving products and fixtures to new location, setting up new showroom, and hiring additional staff as needed. Qualifications - Candidates should ideally have: · 5+ years of experience in the Home Furnishings industry. · Successful track record of building and maintaining meaningful customer relationships. · Contact list of local A+D firms and residential interior designers. · History of generating strong sales growth. · Passion for, and a background in design, architecture, or design. · Associate, B.S., or B.A. degree or equivalent experience. · 3 years of retail sales/management experience. · Desire to make a meaningful positive impact on the environment.
· Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized, prioritize, and make timely decisions. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Become an expert on MasayaCo's powerful story and unique products and capabilities.Introduce and promote the MasayaCo brand, products, and capabilities to A+D firms, interior designers, and residential/retail customers.Position MasayaCo as a design leader and great resource for projects.Build relationships with decision makers and influencers in the furniture selection process.Help manage projects and communicate effectively with key players in client organizations throughout the life of projects to ensure customer satisfaction and build trust and loyalty.Meet regularly with current clients and prospect new customers through in-person meetings, lunch and learns, product presentations, and via email and phone follow ups.Direct quotes, purchases, and availability inquiries to the proper parties at MasayaCo.Provide consultative sales experience for our customers and guide them to proper application. Share deep knowledge of MasayaCo products and capabilities.Assist in facilitating physical interaction with our products by providing examples of our work and getting customers into our showroom space.Arrange meetings and events in our showroom for existing and prospective customers.Request tools/collateral needed to reach the contract/trade audience most effectively.Build and maintain up-to-date projects and prospects data in HubSpot.Regularly report projects updates to executive team through KPI's/dashboard.Communicate consistently and professionally with customers.
