Responsibilities:
Prepares working plans, detailed drawings and complete mechanical or electrical drawings of components and assemblies.
Works from notes, verbal instructions and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes.
Consults with Technical engineering to ensure model accuracy, design and drafting standards.
Verifies completed work and checks dimensions, materials to be used and quantities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications – External/internal:
Key Skills/Qualifications.
Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting Software. Working knowledge of company CAD software preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge in using configuration control and document management systems.
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Working knowledge of Mechanical Drafting in SolidWorks per ANSI Y14.5 1994.
Machine shop experience a plus or knowledge of machine shop manufacturing. techniques and some tool design.
Interpersonal skills that promote effective interaction with peers.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Up to 2 years related experience.
