Description/Comment:As a Mechanical Engineer, you will manage from inception through sustainment of above and underground mechanical utilities, and various mechanical systems supporting the many assets at the client site.Performing as Owner's Technical Representation, support and develop bid level construction documents including drawings and specifications.Support the development and authoring of proposals and develop workload estimates with critical path schedule dates to support our project management team.Additional responsibilities include immediate response and support to reactionary projects requiring immediate attention.This role reports to the Manager of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing/Piping (MEP) Engineering with DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering.Representation: In this collaborative role, you will act as Owner's Technical Representative on projects from concept through construction..
Discipline focused collaboration to ensure optimal design and production results.Coordination: Manage the design and development of contract documents of projects with in-house and outside resources to meet project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work that comply with specifications and code requirements.Technical Skills: Use and build your experience to guide designs for discipline specific input.
Review drawings, engineering calculations, and specifications and ensure that all projects are designed and executed to applicable local and state codes and statutes.
Review shop drawing submittals and respond to vendor's requests for information per Resort standards.
Site visits to problem solve issues and minimize schedule impacts.Relationship: Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce company design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.
Assist Project and Design Managers to resolve design compliance issues relating to Projects requirements.
Validate that all Item Specifications are consistent with products installed before archiving manuals.
Build enhanced communications and expectations to successfully execute all projects.Basic Qualifications: 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design in above and below ground kitchen designs with integration of HVAC applications, high occupant and volume restroom design and execution, hydronics, both above and below ground piping (supply and waste systems).
Familiar with California Building Code, California energy codes (i.e.
Title 24), and other Federal and State guidance.
BS Engineering from an ABET accredited university or Proven experience in mechanical design, implementation and sustainmentPreferred Qualifications: Professional Engineers license in good standing.
Lighting design and implementation with certification Food and beverages related design and implementation experience.
