I.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Directly responsible for the specification and design of all projects mechanical equipment for both stationary and rotating, and piping systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepares mechanical data sheets in conjunction with the Process Engineering group to specify mechanical equipment requirements
•Performs piping stress analysis utilizing Caesar software
•Works in conjunction with the piping group and suggests modifications to piping routing as required to reduce piping stress to acceptable levels
•Prepares "Request for Quote" documentation necessary to obtain vendor pricing for mechanical equipment
•Prepares bid tabs and make recommendations to the client for the purchase of mechanical equipment
•Performs calculations for nozzle loading and reinforcement, pumps sizing including motor horsepower and NPSH, and WRC-107 stress analysis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Working knowledge of mechanical equipment fundamentals for pumps, heat exchangers, air coolers, furnaces, vessels, towers, tower internals, etc.
in the petroleum industry sector
•Working knowledge of piping systems, design, P&ID's and associated components in the petroleum industry sector
•Actively pursuing registration as a professional engineer
•BS in Mechanical Engineering
•0-3 years' experience specifying and working with mechanical equipment for both stationary and rotating
•Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
•Working knowledge of Caesar stress analysis software
•Available for short-term travel
•Passed fundamentals of Engineering Exam
•Be able to obtain and maintain TWIC and client facility entry requirements

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:
Reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times
•Must be able to work in facilities, climbing ladder, stairs, and walking in warm temperatures
