The Opportunity  The Flock Safety (Flock) Security organization is a diverse collection of individuals working together to scale Flock's security, privacy and operational resilience of the products we offer to customers. The team is responsible for several products including our devices Falcon, Condor, Raven, Wing, Drone and our operating system FlockOS.
The Flock Safety Security organization works with software engineers to design, implement, and operate systems in a manner that protects our customers' data. It is a multidisciplinary organization that covers product, device, software, cloud, infrastructure, and operational security concerns. Our organization:
Defines and drives an engaging security strategy for Flock and our customers
Builds a developer driven security program where there is tight integration with engineering artifacts, process, and tooling
Uses modern software architecture and coding patterns to reduce the impact of security issues
Are the security subject matter experts for our tech stack and products
Our Security team is looking to hire a Privacy Engineer to help build security solutions that will impact our newest hardware products. This person will partner closely with engineering teams and leadership to ensure we continue creating a product that prioritizes security, privacy and ethics. 
Manage cross-functional efforts to establish programs for AI and Data Privacy
Serve as a subject matter expert on customer inquiries from Privacy and Responsible AI
Serve as an advisor on privacy matters and foster a culture of privacy by design
Conduct data protection impact assessments to confirm reasonable safeguards
Maintain data inventories in alignment with requirements for records of processing
Contribute to the creation of awareness content and launch awareness campaigns
Support the Director of Privacy and legal team on privacy matters, incidents, and compliance activities
Complete Data Subject Requests timely and in accordance with privacy regulation
Oversee the governance of cookie consent management practices
Cooperate with functional areas on privacy review of contracts and conduct privacy due diligence
The Skillset  Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders
Broad understanding of global data privacy and AI topics and demonstrated ability to identify changes and evolutions in applicable laws and regulations.
Detail-oriented, organized, with a proven track record of managing programs with a spirit of continuous improvement
6+ years in privacy, risk management, and AI/ML, including experience:
providing day to day privacy support to business in consultations on applicable privacy laws, contracting review and negotiation, privacy by design considerations, and due diligence
conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)
maintaining applicable Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
drafting, conducting, and tracking regional training & awareness activities required.
timely processing and tracking of data subject requests (DSRs) required.
implementing updates to company policies to address changes in laws or regulation
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Nice to haves:IAPP certification (CIPM, CIPT, applicable CIPP, etc.)
Juris Doctorate or equivalent
Progressing leadership in public safety, military, or law enforcement.

Identify existing data governance, privacy, and responsible AI measures
The First 60 Days  Collaborate with stakeholders to document AI governance context
Conduct current state assessment of alignment to Privacy frameworks Complete key privacy operations and customer inquiries on Privacy/AI
90 Days & Beyond  Begin making a real impact by maturing privacy and AI program capabilities

The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field. 
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners. 
The Perks  ??Salary & Equity: In this role, you'll receive a starting salary of $100,000-$145,000 as well as stock options
