The Vision We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support an Advanced Practitioner who will be joining our Primary Care practice in Rowley, MA!
This is a 40-hour, onsite position with a desired schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:000pm.
Please note, Medical Assistant shifts are staggered and can vary depending on provider schedules and site needs.
The Advanced Practice Provider will be supporting our same-day sick visits, with the option of building a panel in the future.
Because patients typically come to us for this offering when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.
As a Family Medicine office, we provide physical examinations, routine health screenings and preventative care for patients of all ages - infants through adults.
While we ideally aim to have our clinical support staff members working 1:1 with their assigned Provider, they do cross-cover, rotate, and collaborate with various providers to develop their skills, expose them to different styles, and expand their clinical knowledge.
Role Overview Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities include: - Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office - Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed) - Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to panel management (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas - Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs Qualifications The ideal candidate profile is an experienced, adaptable Medical Assistant who is confident in their clinical abilities and genuinely enjoys variety.
- Required- Completion of a formal, post-secondary clinical training program (ex.
Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Nursing Assistant) OR Matriculation in, or graduate of, an Associates or Bachelor's degree program in nursing (RN).
Nursing students must have completed fundamentals of nursing, skills lab, and at least one clinical rotation in medical / surgical nursing.
- Strongly Preferred- Certificate, Diploma, or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited program.
