Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately processing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Pay: up to $25/hour Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm Location: Remote Responsibilities: Claim Processing: Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers in accordance with billing guidelines and regulations. Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility to determine coverage levels and patient responsibility. Billing Inquiries: Respond to billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding claim status, denials, and appeals. Payment Posting: Post payments received from insurance companies, patients, and other payers accurately and promptly to patient accounts. Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims and denied claims, resubmitting claims as necessary to ensure timely reimbursement. Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all billing and coding activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and claim processing. Knowledge of insurance billing procedures, payer policies, and reimbursement guidelines. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
