PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Direct the personnel and activities of a project management unit, including development, definition, and implementation of work processes and financial management tools. Responsible for managing the scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance of multiple projects and programs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage the budget of an assigned portfolio of work. Establish and monitor business plans and objectives. (20%)
Develop and maintain an environment that fosters a high-performance culture. (20%)
Provide leadership to and development of direct reports. (20%)
Interface with other departments in Exelon and represent Exelon to other business units. (10%)
Facilitates open and honest communication across the organization. (10%)
Manages large and/or highly complex projects or programs. (20%)
JOB SCOPE
Implement and manage a project portfolio/program with annual expenditures of approximately $100 - $150 million.
Manage performance of multiple project teams through assigned project managers.
Interact with all levels of Exelon leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field and 7-10 years relevant project management experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or achieve PMP within two years of job entry.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing large, complex projects using project management techniques.
Proven leadership ability in a high-performance culture.
Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in engineering or Business Administration.
PMP Certification.
3-5 years of supervisory experience.
