The Mid-Corp Relationship Manager is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically, a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.Responsibilities:Drive innovation on the solutions we provide clients through partnerships with product specialists and subject matter experts, while structuring deals that balance risk and rewardExecution of strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels (Group, Bank, commercial market and EIB)Oversee the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processesEnsures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all timesResponsible for actively calling on clients to deepen relationships and proactively owning, responding to and anticipating future needs, challenges or risks, in addition to identifying and pursuing new clients aligned with CITI COMMERCIAL BANK (CCB)'s value propositionAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications:15+ years of experienceIn-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking including strong commercial credit knowledge and an ability to quickly learn new products and servicesDemonstrates an expert level of Early Warning Detection skillsDemonstrates expert level credit skills; capable of structuring all credit deals and guiding staff through the credit deal approval processDemonstrates advanced Citi's credit-process and credit-appetite knowledgeAbility to work effectively in team settingAbility to lead multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experienceExcellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g. negotiation, consultative skills, leadership)Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisionsHighly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the prioritiesAccountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the businessA proactive approach in looking for ways in strengthening business relationship with clients, delivers a simple, secure, and seamless client experienceAbility to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience we deliver for our clientsAble to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insightsEducation:Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group:Commercial and Business Sales------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Relationship Management------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Chicago Illinois United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$200,000.00 - $300,000.00In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
