Job Description: Four Diamonds Mini-THON is an opportunity for high school students to be empowered as leaders in the fight to conquer childhood cancer. Students gain work-related skills in communication, critical thinking and problem solving, while promoting teamwork, creativity, and spirit within their schools.
Effective: 2024 – 2025 School Year
Qualifications: Experience: Working with high school students on developing teamwork, fundraising, and communication skills.Skills: Excellent organization, communication, and planning skills. Planning and managing a large event.Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.Essential Functions: Developing a student leadership team to coordinate all activities prior to the Mini Thon event.Creating and executing strategies to increase fundraising prior to Mini Thon.Articulating For The Kid's values and needs through formal and informal communication to all stakeholders.Attending meetings and coordinating schedules for students and stakeholders.Attendance and supervision at events.Teaching students how to use online and traditional ways to advertise the cause and how to donate.Contributing to the creation of content for blogs, newsletters, emails, and online resources to promote Mini-Thon.Ensuring the Mini Thon event is educational, enjoyable, and efficient.Working with the team to develop event curriculum and presentation materials.Other duties as assigned by Administration.Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.If you are offered a position with Marple Newtown School District, please be advised that the following information will be required before you are able to begin working:
