Mri Technologist

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, performs a variety of MRI procedures and departmental support functions.

Job Responsibilities: Conducts MRI examinations of the brain, body, spine, and extremities on patients of all ages, adjusting scanning parameters as needed.
Identifies gross pathology in the human body and adjusts scanning parameters to provide accurate information for interpretation.
Performs specialized MRI exams such as MRA runoffs and post arthrogram work ups.
Starts and removes IV lines for contrast studies and identifies and responds to IV contrast reactions.
Reviews each examination for technical accuracy and communicates pertinent data to the relevant healthcare personnel.
Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images and ensures proper film identification.
Maintains a daily patient MRI log documenting patient information and examination details.
Performs other duties as directed.
Shift: M-F evening 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
May work some weekends and holidays.

Basic Requirements: Minimum one (1) year of experience as an MRI technologist or registry eligible ARRT advanced certification in MRI.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 12 months of hire.
Radiologic Technologist Certification and Basic Life Support.
