Overview:
To maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment in proper repair and working condition according to schedule, fabricating basic machine parts and mechanical equipment parts and providing replacement parts.
To install, test, service, trouble shoot and repair all facility electrical equipment and systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, maintain, move, align, erect, or install production/facility/electrical equipment.
This work may be performed from written/verbal instructions, drawings, samples, or sketches, often to close tolerances.
This work may be performed using hand tools, power tools and electrical maintenance knowledge.
Design, program, repair and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Systems.
Complete work orders, PM rounds, repairs, and general maintenance.
Diagnose trouble and determine extent of repairs necessary; repair, refit, or replace parts.
Reorder supplies and equipment, as needed.
Lay out carpentry work and specify materials; includes finishing and masonry work.
Notify Supervisor or designated personnel of any irregularities or problems encountered with supplies, machinery, or processes.
Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continual improvement opportunities.
Safety is a personal responsibility; verify that area and equipment are safe before proceeding with duties.
Check all safety equipment; follow all facility safety rules and procedures; wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Lock-out/Tag-out procedures must be adhered to when equipment is down for repair or cleaning.
Ability to clean tools and maintain identified tool boards while keeping workstation and surrounding area clean and organized.
Keep equipment in safe operating condition, report problems to Maintenance department.
Participate in training of new Associates as directed by the Supervisor.
Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
Associate Degree or Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Successful completion of Competency Assessment may be considered in lieu of education.
Three (3) years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, service manuals and maintenance records.
Understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, rubber industry production equipment internal combustion engines, single and three phase electric motors.
Requires the ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Ability to read a tape measure.
Strong computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
Familiarity of E-Maintenance, a plus.
