Experience: 3-5 years advanced dashboard design and troubleshooting, with emphasis in readability.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with Tableau dashboard development.
Proven expertise in advanced analytics, including working with statistical models, machine learning, or other advanced techniques.
Experience with large-scale data processing and visualization in a corporate or consulting environment.
Strong background in working with multiple data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, CSV, cloud-based databases, and other relevant platforms.
Tableau consultant who also has some experience on Data Governance side to streamline the dashboards if required.
Preferred Certifications: Tableau Desktop Specialist/Certified Professional.
Certifications in Analytics (Google Analytics, Advanced Analytics certifications).
SQL or database management certifications.
Overview: The Tableau Dashboard Contractor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize advanced analytical dashboards in Tableau.
This role is essential for transforming complex data sets into visually compelling, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
The contractor will work closely with business units to understand their data needs and translate them into dynamic and impactful dashboards.
Key Responsibilities: Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards tailored to meet specific business objectives and requirements.
Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly, performance-optimized, and visually compelling.
Data Analysis & Insights: Perform advanced data analysis using various analytical tools and techniques, uncovering trends and actionable insights.
Work with large and complex datasets, cleansing, transforming, and integrating data from multiple sources to be used in Tableau dashboards.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and key stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into data visualizations.
Provide guidance on data-driven decisions by effectively communicating insights from dashboards.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality control to ensure the accuracy and functionality of dashboards.
Implement data governance and best practices for data visualization, ensuring consistency across dashboards.
Documentation & Training: Document dashboard development processes and deliverables, ensuring all dashboards are well-documented.
Provide training and ongoing support to users for effective usage of Tableau dashboards.
Technical Skills: Tableau Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Tableau (Desktop, Server, and Tableau Prep) with experience developing complex dashboards and visual analytics.
Familiarity with Tableau's advanced features like parameters, actions, level of detail (LOD) calculations, and performance tuning.
Analytics Tools & Methods: Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and other advanced analytics techniques (e.g., clustering, regression analysis, etc.).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analytics.
Data Integration & Management: Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation.
Experience in integrating data from various sources, including cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data warehouses.
Business Intelligence & Reporting: Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) best practices, with a focus on delivering actionable insights through visualization.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data preparation techniques for dashboard-ready datasets.
Soft Skills: Problem-Solving: Ability to distill complex business challenges into tangible, data-driven solutions.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and translate technical information into business language.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
