Division Profile:
The Analytics & Data (A&D) organization is a key growth area within Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Division, playing a critical role in the execution of the wider Wealth Management strategy. The use of analytics and data will be a key driver in accelerating growth across all client segments, enabling data-driven decision making and delivering the best client experience.
Position Summary:
Assistant Vice President role to joinour Analytics & Data organization in the NNA Analytics and Insights team function which is responsible for Net New Assets (NNA) reporting, forecasting and insights on the key drivers of NNA - the most important and visible metric for the WM business.
The candidate will be responsible for the ongoing distribution of multiplevarious reports to senior management and stakeholders, engaging teams across the organization to help with consolidating and streamlining NNA reporting. Additionally, you will help with determining insights on NNA forecasting and analyzing competitor flows by investigating additional analytical or predictive use-cases from existing data.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
-Assist in supporting A&D NNA reporting across multiple projects and stakeholders.
-Collaborate with team in NY/NJ, Mumbai, and Budapest to distribute a suite of senior management reports to be produced on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
-Problem solving skills – ability to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues and develop actionable recommendations.
-Analytical skills – Analyze data to identify key trends, proficient in data reconciliation, comparison and benchmarking.
-Data validation skills – Be able to leverage different data sources and methodologies to verify accuracy of output.
-Teamwork skills – The candidate must be flexible in their work style and be able to work collaboratively with others on the team.
-Provide reporting and analytics ad-hoc support and building data capabilities as needed.
-Assistant Vice President: 3-5 years of financial services related experience.
-Bachelor's degree required.
-Experience in Data & Analytics a plus
Required Skills:
-Ability to work independently and possess a strong sense of accountability/ownership.
-Must be a self-starter and a quick learner, able to prioritize and delegate effectively to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives.
-Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
-Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
-Experience or knowledge in data analytics toolsets such as: SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python, Dataiku (nice to have)
-Ability to work in a team environment and partner with multiple individuals across various groups.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Strong attention to detail, aptitude for working with numerical information.
-Experience and strong aptitude in using different data environments.
-Demonstrated effectiveness with both oral and written communication.
-Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
