ROLE SUMMARY This position supports the data collection, analysis, and interpretation across a wide variety of activities related to drug development within the collaboration group.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in the study design, analysis, reporting, and interpretation of applicable studies.Participate in collaborations with cross-discipline colleagues to plan meaningful studies, statistically analyze, and communicate/document the results.Participate in education initiatives by developing and teaching courses such as basic statistics, regression analysis, statistical experimental design, data engineering, machine learning, and/or AI topics to non-statistics collaborators.Share in the development of automated statistical/data solutions to increase the efficiency of study conduct and reporting.Participate in research on statistical, AI/ML and/or informatics methodology and its applications as they relate to business needs.Partner with other data science/computational groups to identify optimal solutions to scientific problems.Help promote an effective network with other Pfizer statisticians and data scientists.Help promote statistical excellence, champion statistical influence, and ensure statistical support for all projects and products.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across Pfizer.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS M.S. in Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or equivalent degree, with some practical experience (e.g. internship), preferably in a relevant setting.Statistical knowledge through coursework and/or demonstrated statistical application in descriptive and inferential statistics, general linear models, mixed models, statistical experimental design, quality control.Data science/AI knowledge through coursework and/or demonstrated application in Feature Extraction/Engineering, Exploratory data analysis, Machine Learning (Supervised and Unsupervised methods), ML optimization frameworks, ML evaluation methods.Superior computational skills: SAS, R, Python, or equivalent, with knowledge of a variety of commercial packages.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Outstanding communication skills.Statistical/Quantitative consulting experience.Strong scientific background, with good working knowledge of biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or toxicology.Experience in machine learning/AI, including Image Analysis, Big Data Analysis, Natural Language Processing and/or Decision Support Recommender Systems.Experience analyzing high-dimensional data.The flexibility to balance many projects and customers simultaneously.The ability to be independent and learn new skills quickly.The aptitude to identify and understand relevant scientific literature and apply knowledge gained from these sources.Relocation support available.
Work Location Assignment: Hybrid.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
