Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles and practices of occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to establish goals and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions, such as exercises, activities of daily living, and adaptive equipment, to help patients achieve their goals
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve function and promote independence
- Assess client's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy
Requirements
Requirements:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and the ability to apply them in a clinical setting
- Experience working with patients across the lifespan, including adult and geriatric populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a variety of clinical settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, schools, or home health
- Specialized training or certification in a specific area of occupational therapy, such as geriatrics, or neurorehabilitation
