As a Training Representative in our Washington, DC office, you will provide direct and logistical support for employee development and training initiatives on an as-needed, part-time basis. This includes organizing and hosting training events for our federal clients at various venues. As part of the Learning Services team, you will help plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality training programs for learners at all levels within the client organization.
Summary of Responsibilities: Leads event coordination and execution for global training requirements and logistics, including tracking training calendars, registrations, inventory, venue, and travel/lodging needs to ensure a smooth attendee experience. Serves as the point of contact for participants, clients, and vendors before, during, and after the training event to communicate and resolve issues as they arise. Sets up and breaks down the learning space (e.g., hotel, conference, or office) using the team/pod style with learning resources, tools, technologies, and published materials. Welcomes learners, guests, and facilitators, and supports the facilitator in the day-to-day coordination of training activities, ensuring learner needs are met. Provides facilitator and learner support during the training, assisting with activities, materials, technologies, logistics, and access for guests/visitors. Serves as a general administrative resource to the Learning Services team, providing various operational, clerical, and/or administrative support tasks as assigned.
Required: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Valid U.S. driver's license and a passport (or eligibility for a passport). Three years of progressive experience in professional or international development. Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Proficiency in technology (computer/office equipment skills), social media, and online collaboration platforms, including Google and Microsoft products. Comfortable and responsive with communication outside core office hours, especially during high-volume deliveries or occasionally for evening and weekend work to support efforts in various international time zones. U.S. citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required to access government systems or facilities
NOTE: This position requires in-person/onsite support for training events in the Washington DC area and possibly overseas (Africa, Asia, Central America, Europe, and/or the Middle East), which requires a valid U.S. passport. Only candidates who meet this criteria will be considered.
