Job Description Operating Engineer-Monday-Friday 4pm-12am What this job involves: The Operating Engineer Local 94 has wide ranging responsibilities for the electrical and mechanical systems at the assigned buildings; including but not limited to the following: Maintain and update current Maximo CMMS information for all building operating systems.
Monitor client Building Management System.
Perform preventive maintenance to various operating systems including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Life Safety.
Respond to online service requests, ensuring that work is performed professionally, efficiently and with a minimum amount of disruption to the client.
Respond effectively to emergencies and support after-hours building related activity as requested.
Perform site inspections and monitor the equipment alarms.
Assist with MEP installations of new and/or replacement equipment as required.
Maintain inventory of parts and equipment, submitting replacement requests as necessary.
Communicate with onsite building personnel or vendors partners to ensure incidents are addressed promptly.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift at least 50 lbs.

Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
Education/Preferred Skills High School diploma or GED equivalent, with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC.).
Proficiency with office computers and web applications.
(MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel).
Ability to analyze the operation of various MEP systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
Strong Customer Service skills Candidates with experience and knowledge of HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Safety Equipment are desired.
Must be a highly motivated self-starting team player with good communication skills and hands-on mechanical inclination.
Hourly rate: $49.96/hr
