OVERALL DESCRIPTION
SEPTA's Quality Assurance Department is recruiting for a talented and professional individual to hold the position of Operations Analyst. The Operations Analyst is a critical position at SEPTA and is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Engineer (or subordinate staff) with program/project support consisting of various administrative and technical duties including documentation management, statistical and/or data reporting activities. In addition, the person selected for this position will be responsible for assisting with analyzing departmental systems, operating procedures and performance standards. This individual shall provide support for the Vehicle Engineering group.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Edits vehicle manuals and updates Vehicle Technical Information Library (VTIL). Maintains Vehicle Fact Sheets and revenue vehicle counts. Maintenance of Drawing, Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and Specification log files. Manages all aspects of the Dataviewer system for documentation management. Reviews project documents (Vehicle Specifications, drawings, ECNs, contract documents and addendums) for grammatical, technical accuracy and assemble for distribution both inside and outside of the organization. Processes, organizes, and distributes mail/catalogues/manuals and electronic files (Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF)) for various vehicle projects. This will include uploading active specifications to SharePoint eDocs. Maintains backup hard copy files for ECNs and Specifications. Maintains the Vehicle Engineering library Provides statistical and analytical support directly to Senior Staff in Vehicle Engineering Department and QA Department as required. Perform Periodic audit of Specifications, Drawings and ECNs. Develops and prepares statistical/analytical reports as required. Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in business administration, data analytics, finance, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of related experience equating to one year of post High School education), may be considered in lieu of the above requirements. Strong personal computer experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft software applications, including Excel, Access, Outlook, Project and Word. The analyst will also work with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk AutoCAD, Corel WordPerfect, CorelDraw and DXC Toolbox. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Some previous analytical experience preferred. Familiarity with multi-modal public transit systems - i.e. Bus / Light Rail / Heavy Rail / Commuter Rail / Paratransit operations preferred.
