INTECON, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 15-2031 Operations Research Analyst
to support Air Force supply chain processes and provide analytical expertise to improve decision-making, policy formulation, and program implementation. The candidate will work collaboratively to develop mathematical models, conduct data analysis, and manage supply chain operations at both retail and wholesale levels.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and apply mathematical models and optimization methods to evaluate supply chain data and enhance decision-making for management and policy development. Collect, organize, and analyze data to create decision-support tools and software that assist in program evaluations, policy reviews, and logistics planning. Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, variances, and areas for optimization in the supply chain, contributing to both retail and wholesale operations. Prepare and deliver briefing materials and analytical reports, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to senior management. Utilize Access Database Management and other relevant tools to manage and visualize data efficiently. Coordinate with the Air Force Functional Manager, contributing to task management, risk assessments, and maintaining updated databases. Lead and support process improvement initiatives, employing analytical skills to identify and address inefficiencies in supply chain operations. Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience:
Over 10 years of experience in operations research or related roles, demonstrating significant engagement with AF supply chain management. Certifications and Training:
Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or Professional Logistician Certification (CPL). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and training in database management. Specialized training in optimization and mathematical modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python) for advanced data analysis. Security Clearance:
