Operations Specialist I, Full Time, Alpena

Are you a detailed-oriented problem solver with a passion for stopping fraud in its tracks? At NAFCU, we put high importance on protecting our members' financial well-being. This position requires an associate degree in business or a related field; or comparable relevant experience, preferably with two or more years of experience in imaging and fraud detection. The role focuses on identifying and analyzing ATM/Debit card fraud, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring fraud alerts through systems like Falcon. Key responsibilities include processing and verifying secure transactions, preparing documentation for fraud cases, and providing comprehensive support for fraud prevention efforts. The candidate must manage sensitive data, prepare for legal proceedings, and handle incoming communications professionally. Additional tasks involve managing scanning and imaging systems, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining document security standards. The position also includes responsibilities for mail and package handling, adherence to postage requirements, and support for access security. The role emphasizes fraud detection and operational support, aiming to safeguard financial transactions and prevent fraudulent activities within the organization.
Qualifications Required: • Associate's degree in business or other related field of study; or comparable relevant experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities proven to successfully perform the duties of the role.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Qualifications Desired: • Two or more years of experience in imaging and fraud.
• Three or more years of previous credit union, banking, financial services, and or/ related experience.
