Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Wealth Management Operations Specialist to join the team at our Wealth Management department. The Wealth Management Operations Specialist will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting the operations within the Wealth Management Department. Contribute to growth of the wealth management business by working directly with the Trust Officers in setting up new accounts, processing payments, and resolving operational issues. The Wealth Management Operations Specialist will work closely with our trust vendors operations team to process securities settlement, corporate action responses, and incoming/outgoing account transfers. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, and communication skills. In-person office work at Santa Barbara, CA is required.
Minimum Requirements, Activities & Responsibilities
Education and Experience:
A college degree preferred, or 2 year associate's degree required
Minimum of one to three years of experience in banking or related financial field required.
Wealth Management or Trust operations experience preferred.
Ability to pursue completion of Certified Security Operations Professional or Certified Trust Operations Professional preferred.
Essential Functions:
Enters client receipts and distributions to the corresponding wealth account.
Processes all incoming and outgoing customer transfers.
Onboarding new client profile on trust accounting platform.
Works with transfer agents to move securities.
Reconciles daily Trust account activities.
