We offer a base salary rage up to $70,000 annually based on experience.
BASIC OVERVIEWThe Operations Training Manager supports the General Manager and the Operations Team by leading a team of Training Specialists that build, teach, and evaluate technical, role-specific, and hard skill trainings throughout the distribution center. An individual in this role must have superior abilities to inspire trust and authentic partnerships with professionals in all roles within the distribution center. Further, the Operations Training Manager must continually refine his/her knowledge base, teaching expertise, and ability to coach others in their development as trainers within operations. Aiming to always provide the best-in-class programs, the Operations Training Manager should have a keen eye for finding patterns in data sets and applying them to decision-making. Because this position has the responsibility of managing Training Specialists and in each shift and department, the ideal candidate for this role should have flexibility with their availability and schedule on a weekly basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead a team of departmental Training Specialists to own, build, and improve technical, role-specific, and hard skill trainings to be utilized throughout various departments in warehouse operations.Own, create, facilitate a collection of high-quality and engaging training presentations, SOPs, and materials that inspire learning participation and leave employees with clear applications that enable them to be successful in the workplace.Share instructional ownership of the distribution center's learning management system.Build feedback tools and gather insight on training experiences in order to create actionable plans with the goal of improving training experiences and comprehension.Ensure that all employees are receiving a consistent training experience throughout the location.Own the documentation that supports our training initiatives.Demonstrate a high level of communication with direct reports, those in need of personalized coaching, and leaders.Carry out other duties as assigned by the General ManagerEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCETeaching experience in industry and/or education field (preferred, but not required)A college education (preferred, but not required)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESA positive attitude and the ability to remain patient, even under pressureA strong desire and motivation to learn and growExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including though digital presentation toolsA passion to serve and support othersThe ability to initiate and maintain trusting and professional relationships that yield accountabilityAn understanding of adult learning and high-quality engagement strategiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignment and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 8-12 hours/day depending on shiftRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearingRequires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reachingWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
