Working Title: Research Assistant
Job Summary: Serves in a research capacity for a specified department or project within the university, which may include the following duties and responsibilities:
Performs tasks related to specific function/program assignedAssumes responsibilities and assists faculty members in research and creative activities for a designated research areaDevelops work plans in accordance with research objectivesAssists in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and/or research findingsAssists with the development and evaluation of materials related to the scope of the research projectAssists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research and creative activitiesPrepares reports as neededSupervises/coordinates participants for data collectionSupervises/coordinates scoring of project dataCompletes other tasks as assigned by the principal investigator(s)Works on supporting ongoing research grants and assisting faculty with developing new grant applicationsDepartment: Dept of Cybersecurity
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with issues pertaining to research and scope of research projects; experience organizing resources, time management, and adhering to budgets associated with specific projects; skilled in the use of personal computer and related software applications; M.S. degree or higher.
