DescriptionPosition at Mount Sinai Wellness Outreach Coordinator Job Summary: The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for Mount Sinai Wellness Center (MSWC) achieving its goal of informing the community of its programs that provide services to individuals impacted by substance use disorder, mental health, homelessness, and other co-occurring conditions. The outreach coordinator will help MSWC expand its outreach efforts by raising awareness of the issue of substance use and how it impacts the community. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities: Developing and implementing community engagement eventsCommunity training and educationBeing a liaison with community partnersSupport the development and implementation of media campaignsSupport strategies to recruit and retain current partners, volunteers and donorsVolunteer recruitmentVolunteer training and educationSupport the implementation of community fundraisersOther job skills, duties, and preferences: Excellent research and public-speaking skills; effective written and verbal communication skills.Experience in developing and or maintaining webpages, social media, and graphic designing.Work alternative hours as required, including nights and weekends.Effective media presentation composition, layout and production of written materials.Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop softwareProficient in writing and speaking in SpanishMust be a self-starter and able to work independently and with a group, often times leading the group.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services field such as Sociology, Psychology or Social WorkCommunity Engagement and Outreach experienceExperience implementing and facilitating trainingsSalary Range:
Generally starting at $90,000.00 annualized.
The salary of candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty. and training.
