Are you an experienced paralegal with a passion for family law?
Do you have a knack for handling sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team on a permanent basis.
This role offers a remote/flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.
In this role, you will work directly with our team of accomplished attorneys, assisting them in all areas of family law, including child support, premarital agreements, and more.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Paralegal in our Family Law division, you will:
1.
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings, and attend when necessary.
2.
Conduct thorough statutory, regulatory, and factual research.
3.
Manage client files and documents with confidentiality and discretion.
4.
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
5.
Assist in the preparation of premarital agreements and child support calculations.
6.
Coordinate and facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
7.
Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to family law.
8.
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and handling client billing.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:
1.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in family law.
2.
Proficiency in child support, premarital agreements, and other aspects of family law.
3.
Paralegal certification or equivalent educational background.
4.
Strong research and report-generating skills.
5.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
7.
Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
9.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service.
10.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote/hybrid setting.
