SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York. The College has over 7,700 students annually and services over 6,100 students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Professional Studies, Health Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs. An additional 1,600 students are served through the College's workforce and non-credit programs.
Job Description: SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part-time adjunct instructors teaching in the Mathematics department.
The department is establishing a pool of candidates to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis per semester and are ongoing recruitment efforts. Applicants are contacted/hired for assignments based on college needs. The Mathematics Department is seeking part-time adjuncts to teach courses ranging from basic algebra to pre-calculus, statistics, and liberal arts math. Courses are scheduled between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on campus.
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required. A Master's degree in Mathematics is preferred.
Teaching experience is required; preferably at the community college level.
Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
