About Assistant Photo Editor As an Assistant Photo Editor at Super Age, you will play a pivotal role in curating and executing the high-end visual narrative that sets our brand apart. Our aesthetic is provocative yet elegant, edgy yet refined—a fusion of confidence, beauty, and inspiration that connects deeply with our audience. You'll source, edit, and curate photography that not only aligns with our editorial voice but also pushes the boundaries of what's visually possible. Collaborating closely with the editorial and design teams, you'll help craft a visually cohesive and stunning identity that reflects the essence of Super Age and inspires a global community to live boldly with purpose. This is a part time position that will average 20-25 hours per week.
\n AccountabilitiesSource and review photos that complement written editorial content —newsletters, articles, quizzes, websites, and social media — across multiple platforms.Edit photos to align with Super Age's polished and aspirational visual guidelines, ensuring all imagery reflects our ethos of boldness, vitality, and elegance.Collaborate with editorial and design teams to brainstorm and execute compelling visuals that elevate our storytelling.Maintain an organized workflow for sourcing and editing images to meet editorial deadlines.Contribute to brainstorming sessions to push the boundaries of what's possible in visual storytelling and audience engagement.Merge visual artistry and creativity with performance to curate experiences that engage our audience, improve key metrics, and drive revenueCollaborate with colleagues in design, brand, product, engineering, and other functions to improve and innovate our visual styleFaithfully translate company mission, core values into everyday tasks and projects Qualifications2+ experience in a media or digital publishing brandA keen eye for great photography and the ability to articulate what makes it powerfulExemplary written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with photography on a consumer-facing digital brand or verticalThorough understanding of Adobe Suite, namely PS, LR, Ai.Experience sourcing and editing a large volume of photographs within tight deadlines.Experience working with stock agencies, such as Getty Images, iStock, and Adobe Stock.Ability to juggle visuals for multiple projects at a time.Experience working hand-in-hand with an editorial team for input and collaboration.A passion for learning, knowledge-sharing, and the optimistic potential of the internetIntuitive understanding of social media platforms, and keen awareness for what makes content viral (images for social, articles, etc...)Honesty, enthusiasm, and indomitability
\n$25 - $35 an hour
This role is a part-time contract position averaging 20-25 hours per week.
