Part time, front desk Outpatient Registration Clerk to greet, register, and discharge patients in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.


Job Responsibilities

•Duties and assignments will include collecting demographical and insurance information
.
Verifying insurance coverage and helping patient understand such coverage
.
Entering patient into the EMR system and collecting co-pays when required.

.
Successful candidate will also perform other routine office procedures including tending phones and transmitting messages timely, scheduling patient visits, scanning documents, making copies, filing, assisting patients to destination, and keeping waiting room clean and orderly.


Qualifications

.
Qualified candidates will have [minimally] a HS diploma or GED, a kind and respectful customer-service demeanor, and the ability to key data accurately at a minimum rate of 60 words per minute.

Preference given to candidates with two or more years of healthcare registration and EMR system experience.
