About the Position: As a sworn officer of the Grand County Sheriff's Office, Patrol Deputies are responsible to perform law enforcement duties intended to secure a safe environment for county citizens and project legal rights as established by federal, state, and local laws.

The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will be flexible and a multi-tasker.
Additionally, this individual will be able to balance compassion with accountability while interacting with county citizens during stressful situations.
Required Qualifications: Graduation from high school Must be 21 years of age.
Must be a US Citizen to obtain a P.O.S.T Certification.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening & background check.
Pay & Hours: Pay Range: $29.06 - $43.96 /hour (Dependent on qualifications and experience, steps issued in accordance to GC res # 3307) Grand County Sheriff's Office offers a 1 step for 1 year of direct law enforcement experience.

This position is full time, 40/ hours per week.
This department requires 24 hour coverage, shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays.
