Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join the corporate team in our Raleigh, NC headquarters. The candidate will be involved in a variety of Payroll functions and will work with employees at all levels across the firm.
This is an in-office position.
The candidate will be involved in a variety of Payroll functions and will work with employees at all levels across the firm.
Process semi-monthly multi-state payroll – from start to finish Responsible for creating and updating payroll reports in Business Intelligence; Data auditing Assist in processing semi-monthly timesheets and timesheet compliance Worker's Compensation Audit – assist in preparing audit workpaper Verifications of Employment Back up to other payroll accountants Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field 3 or more years of relevant experience Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Experience with the following is preferred: databases and reporting; payroll software; and multi-state tax (UKG Pro and Business Intelligence reporting preferred) Experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills with Excel Strong interpersonal skills and client service mentality Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization High degree of professionalism with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality Excellent organization, detail-orientation, and follow-through skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision Ability and willingness to learn new software applications At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
